Google Pixel 3 – The Curiosity Rooms

Google transformed its flagship store, 55 Regent Street, for the launch of the Google Pixel 3 smartphone. Branded The Curiosity Rooms, Google hosted a range of free talks, events and workshops to demonstrate how fashion, food, music, art and tech all collide.

Visitors tried out the Google Lens technology with the All-in-One Auto Wash which showcased Pixel’s Group Selfie cam. As part of this installation, FFD were asked to engineer the structural framework, assemble the brushes and design and install a control system to allow the speed and direction of the brushes to be changed via DMX protocol from a lighting desk. Timed to replicate a real car wash, visitors were caught up in a flurry of wind, noise and colour!
